Dia de Saint Patrick 17/03

Mais do que um feriado religioso, o dia de Saint Patrick, comemorado no dia 17 de março, é um evento cultural. Em vários países de língua inglesa, muitas pessoas saem às ruas fantasiadas com roupas verdes, e consomem alimentos da mesma cor, que simboliza o contato com a natureza e a esperança... É um feriado muito comemorado no mundo todo, seja por motivos religiosos, ou pelo gosto pelas tradições que a festa simboliza. O nosso colégio, por ser bilíngue, aborda em seu currículo as festividades nacionais e internacionais, para que as crianças conheçam não apenas a língua inglesa, mas também a cultura do mundo a sua volta.
Aqui na escola, os alunos usaram roupas e acessórios verdes, ouviram a história de Saint Patrick´s, fizeram trabalhos de arte... E ainda tiveram suas salas bagunçadas pelo levado doende... Veja algumas fotos.

More than a religious holiday, the Saint Patrick's day that is celebrated on march 17th, is a cultural event. In many english spoken countries, people go to the streets dressed up with green clothes, and eat green food. Green symbolizes the contact with the nature and hope...it´s a widely celebrated holiday all over the world, either for religious reasons or the taste for the traditions that is present in this festivity. Our school, because it is bilingual, comprehends in our curriculum the national and international festivities, so that children know not only the english language, but also the culture around them.
Here at school , the students wore green clothes and accessories, heard stories on the theme, made art projects...and also had their classrooms messed up by naughthy leprechaun. Check it out:
